Ariana Grande

Singer, songwriter, actor and producer

Born 1993

Ariana Grande is an American singer, songwriter, actor and producer whose career connects Broadway, television, record-setting pop and musical film. Raised in Boca Raton, Florida, she performed in local theatre before making her Broadway debut as Charlotte in 13 at 15. Nickelodeon's Victorious and Sam & Cat gave her a global television audience, while YouTube covers helped establish the voice that drove her 2013 chart-topping debut Yours Truly. Across My Everything, Dangerous Woman, Sweetener, thank u, next, Positions and eternal sunshine, Grande developed from a precision vocalist into an increasingly central songwriter and producer; hits including The Way, Problem, No Tears Left to Cry, thank u, next, 7 rings, positions and we can't be friends made her one of her generation's defining pop artists. Her response to the 2017 Manchester Arena attack included the One Love Manchester benefit, while the aftermath, grief and recovery became inseparable from the emotional arc of Sweetener and thank u, next. She returned to musical theatre on screen as Glinda in Wicked and Wicked: For Good, earning an Academy Award nomination and a 2026 Grammy with Cynthia Erivo for Defying Gravity. In 2026 she released her eighth studio album, petal, completed a 41-date Eternal Sunshine Tour and then began a planned break from public-facing work; her next announced film appearance is in Focker-In-Law. Her work also extends to the r.e.m. beauty and Ariana Grande Fragrances businesses, animal-rescue advocacy and the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation.
