Brad Pitt is an American actor and producer raised in Springfield, Missouri. He studied journalism at the University of Missouri before leaving for Los Angeles; early jobs helped him find acting teacher Roy London. Thelma & Louise brought him wider attention, followed by A River Runs Through It, Legends of the Fall, Se7en and Twelve Monkeys. His collaborations with David Fincher continued through Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, while the Ocean’s films, Troy, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and World War Z established his range in large productions. His work also includes voice roles in Sinbad, Megamind and Happy Feet Two, and documentary narration. He shares a Best Picture Oscar as a producer of 12 Years a Slave and won the supporting-actor Oscar for Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Television producing includes The Normal Heart, The Underground Railroad, 3 Body Problem and Adolescence. F1 The Movie paired his performance as Sonny Hayes with a producing credit. Heart of the Beast opened in September 2026; his return as Cliff Booth in David Fincher’s film is announced for November and December.
