Born 1988
Emma Stone is an American actor and producer raised in Arizona. Youth theatre and improv shaped her comic instincts, and she has described taking classes at Coronado's Lamb's Players Theatre during family summers. After early television guest roles, Superbad introduced her to film audiences; The House Bunny, Zombieland and Easy A established her in comedy. Her work broadened through The Help, the Amazing Spider-Man films and Birdman, alongside Broadway's Cabaret, where she played Sally Bowles. She won Academy Awards for La La Land and Poor Things. Her collaborations with Yorgos Lanthimos include The Favourite, Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness and Bugonia, while Maniac and The Curse extended her television work. Through Fruit Tree with Dave McCary and Ali Herting, she has produced films by Jesse Eisenberg, Julio Torres and Jane Schoenbrun, including When You Finish Saving the World, Problemista, A Real Pain and I Saw the TV Glow. She also has producing credits on Maniac, The Curse, Poor Things and Bugonia. Later acting includes Eddington; Universal has announced The Catch with Chris Pine and McCary directing.
