Born 1996

Florence Pugh is an English actor and producer from Oxford. Her father ran restaurants and her mother taught dance; she attended St Edward’s School and was cast in Carol Morley’s The Falling while still a pupil. Lady Macbeth established her in independent cinema and brought a British Independent Film Award. She went on to play Cordelia opposite Anthony Hopkins in King Lear and lead Park Chan-wook’s television adaptation of The Little Drummer Girl. Fighting with My Family, Midsommar and her Oscar-nominated Amy March in Little Women expanded that range. As Yelena Belova, she appears in Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thunderbolts* and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Her other work includes The Wonder, Jean Tatlock in Oppenheimer, Princess Irulan in Dune: Part Two and the chef Almut in We Live in Time. She also voices characters in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Boy and the Heron. Her producing work includes A Good Person and executive producing East of Eden, in which she plays Cathy Ames. Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday remain forthcoming projects as of this review.
