Harry Styles is an English singer, songwriter and actor. Born in Bromsgrove and raised in Holmes Chapel, he sang with the school band White Eskimo and worked in a bakery before auditioning for The X Factor. The competition brought him into One Direction in 2010. The group released five studio albums, from Up All Night to Made in the A.M., before his solo career. Long before his film debut, he performed in childhood productions including Bugsy Malone and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. For his solo debut, he worked at Geejam in Jamaica with producer Jeff Bhasker and a band including guitarist Mitch Rowland. The sessions gave him room to develop a personal rock direction after the group’s collective decisions. His self-titled solo album arrived in 2017, followed by Fine Line in 2019 and Harry’s House in 2022. In Apple Music interviews he described becoming less guarded as a songwriter and looking for a balance between work and the rest of his life. His collaborators include Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson. Watermelon Sugar earned his first Grammy; Harry’s House later won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. On screen, he played Alex in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, Eros in Eternals, Jack in Don’t Worry Darling and the younger Tom in My Policeman. He and Ben Winston also executive produced the CBS comedy Happy Together, whose premise drew on Styles living in Winston’s home. He later established the beauty brand Pleasing, introducing it in a 2021 Dazed interview. His fourth solo album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., arrived in March 2026. That month brought the Netflix concert One Night in Manchester and another turn as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. His Together, Together tour set a Wembley residency record in summer 2026; Madrid concerts announced for July 2027 remain future dates.
