Hrithik Roshan

Actor and filmmaker

Born 1974

Hrithik Roshan is an Indian actor whose Hindi-film career combines romance, drama, dance and action. Born in Bombay, he appeared on screen as a child and worked behind the camera with his father, director Rakesh Roshan, before becoming a leading actor in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. Filmfare recognized that debut with acting and newcomer honors. His subsequent roles move from Fiza and Mission Kashmir to the family ensemble Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Rohit Mehra in Koi... Mil Gaya and military drama Lakshya. The Krrish films gave him superhero and family roles, while Dhoom2 cast him as Aryan. Jodhaa Akbar, Guzaarish and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara extended the dramatic record. Later credits include Agneepath, Bang Bang, Kaabil, Super30, War, Vikram Vedha and Fighter. War2 reunites his screen record with the character Kabir. He also judged Just Dance and appears in documentaries about Hindi cinema and the Roshan family. His honors include separate Filmfare and IIFA acting, newcomer and style categories. Yash Raj Films has announced him as actor-director of Krrish4; the checked record treats that as development rather than a released film. Direct interviews provide dated reading, listening and food choices, while his recent interview discusses the balance between professional roles and personal life. In a 2009 interview, he recalled stammering from childhood and continued speech practice while pursuing acting. His producing career also includes announced Prime Video projects Storm and Mess through HRX Films. A separate untitled Hombale collaboration remains announced.
