Jin

Singer and songwriter

Born 1992

Jin, born Kim Seok-jin in Anyang, is a South Korean singer and songwriter and a vocalist in BTS. He studied film at Konkuk University, then continued his education through graduate study at Hanyang Cyber University. Recruited as an acting student, he entered unfamiliar musical training and later described repeating choreography practice because learning dances took him longer. BTS debuted in 2013 and developed an extensive album catalogue. Awake introduced a solo performance within Wings. Epiphany continued his solo contributions to the group’s albums. Moon followed on Map of the Soul: 7. His separate recordings include the pet-inspired Tonight. Abyss followed in 2020. Super Tuna developed into a full-version solo release. He also sang with V for the Hwarang soundtrack. Yours added a Jirisan soundtrack performance. The Astronaut brought a collaboration with Coldplay. He completed military service in June 2024. Happy arrived that November, including WENDY and Gary Barlow collaborations. Echo followed in May 2025, including Loser with YENA. He discussed exploring rock, pop-punk and country-rock alongside ballads in a 2026 interview. His entertainment work includes Netflix’s Kian’s Bizarre B&B. His solo tour extended live-band performances and participatory games to the stage. He contributed to the authorized BTS oral history Beyond the Story. Bogotá’s October 2026 guidance listed the October 2–3 El Campín concerts as scheduled; completion was not established at this review. Run Jin extends his screen work into a solo variety series.
