Born 1992
Ozuna is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter born in San Juan. A Dominican father and Puerto Rican mother connected his upbringing with both Caribbean islands. He began writing songs as a child and developed an audience through digital platforms and local radio before releasing Odisea.
His early life included the loss of his father and time living in New York’s Washington Heights. He later returned to Puerto Rico to build a recording career while supporting his family. In the debut-era FADER interview, he placed Frankie Ruiz, Daddy Yankee and Romeo Santos among the artists he admired.
Raised largely by his grandmother, he worked different jobs as a teenager. His first Sony distribution arrangement came through Dímelo Vi, the independent label associated with Vicente Saavedra. He later established Aura Music, maintaining Sony Music Latin as its distributor.
In GQ España’s Puerto Rico interview, he remembered helping his grandmother sell hair accessories in Río Piedras. Basketball remained part of his life beyond music: the interview described both his investment in a team and his interest in playing where local young people could see him.
Aura extended the debut’s melodic approach through collaborations with Cardi B, Romeo Santos and Akon, moving between reggaeton, bachata and pop textures.
Nibiru and ENOC followed, then OzuTochi. Afro explored afrobeats, while Cosmo continued the studio-album sequence.
Los Dioses joined him with Anuel AA for a full collaborative album. The project made space for reggaeton and trap alongside less familiar arrangements.
Acting introduced another part of his career. After Qué León, he prepared for the younger Santos role in F9, explaining that he had to study a character who already existed in the franchise.
He returned as José Miguel León in Los Leones.
His television appearances include Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.
Guinness recognised his chart and video achievements in 2019. The honours here document the historical records described in that announcement.
Stendhal grew from a friendship with Beéle after a remix collaboration. Their Apple Music conversation described an album that developed spontaneously, with sessions in Bogotá and Ibiza.
In 2026 he introduced Mi Yo De Antes, taking an executive-producer role on its music video as well as performing the song.
He opened the Una Aventura World Tour in Ibiza in June; the checked report describes a completed concert.
ZIZI subsequently paired him with Omar Courtz, with a video directed by Ricardo Rivera.
September brought La Gerencia (Remix), joining Tito El Bambino’s expanded collaboration.
Odisea, a film about his life, is listed as completed in IMDb’s production record, with Ozuna playing Jan Carlos. A release date is unannounced; completed production does not establish public release.
