Robert Pattinson is an English actor and musician who grew up in Barnes, southwest London, and attended the Harrodian School. Local theatre led to professional auditions: playing Alec in Tess of the d’Urbervilles helped him find an agent, while a scene filmed for Vanity Fair was cut before its theatrical release. Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire introduced him to a wider audience; Edward Cullen in the Twilight series made him internationally known. Cosmopolis and Maps to the Stars began his collaborations with David Cronenberg, followed by work with David Michôd, the Safdie brothers, Claire Denis and Robert Eggers. His range includes Good Time, The Lighthouse, Tenet, The Batman, Mickey 17 and English-language voice work in The Boy and the Heron. He also served as executive producer on Remember Me. His 2026 films include The Drama, The Odyssey and Primetime. Dune: Part Three and Netflix’s Here Comes the Flood remain forthcoming; The Batman: Part II is filming, with a February 2028 release announced in July.
