Salman Khan

Actor, producer and television host

Born 1965

Salman Khan is an Indian actor, producer and television host whose Hindi-film work spans romance, comedy, drama and action. Born in Indore, he is the son of screenwriter Salim Khan. His early record includes assistant work on Falak and a supporting performance in Biwi Ho To Aisi before the leading role in Sooraj R. Barjatya’s Maine Pyar Kiya. Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Andaz Apna Apna and Karan Arjun extended that early screen identity. Later ensemble work includes Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and a supporting turn as Aman in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, recognized by Filmfare. His subsequent roles range from Tere Naam and Baghban to Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, No Entry and Partner. Wanted, Dabangg and the Tiger films developed a substantial action record, alongside Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Bharat. He also hosts Bigg Boss and has worked in television, narration and documentary production. The studio Salman Khan Films dates its founding to 2011, while individual films separately identify his acting, producing and writing roles. Chillar Party and Bajrangi Bhaijaan received National Film Award honors as films; those entries are kept distinct from individual acting prizes. Recent credits include Tiger3, Sikandar, Raja Shivaji and 7Dogs. The official SVC63 announcement names a future collaboration with Nayanthara and Vamshi Paidipally. Maatrubhumi remains unreleased in the checked reporting. Interviews supply dated food and music choices, and attributed personal posts identify animal companions. Recalling his early years in a January2014 interview, he described filming a motorcycle commercial at sixteen and growing up with brother Arbaaz near the sea. His television production extends to The Kapil Sharma Show and Nach Baliye9, alongside his on-screen hosting.
