Panam Sports appoints Biles a global ambassador
Biles visited Peru as global ambassador for Panam Sports and the Lima 2027 Pan American Games, meeting young athletes and discussing mental health and the road ahead.
She said she missed gymnastics camaraderie but valued the freedom of a mental and physical break, using yoga and Pilates for movement rather than performance.
Biles told CNN that mental readiness and the long commitment—not confidence in her physical ability—would determine whether she attempts a fourth Olympics.
At the 2026 Laureus Awards, Biles honoured the gymnast she called her hero and sporting inspiration, 50 years after Comăneci's first Olympic perfect 10.
