Sabrina Carpenter

Singer, songwriter and actor

Born 1999

Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter and actor whose long apprenticeship grew into one of contemporary pop's defining runs. Raised near Quakertown, Pennsylvania, she began posting singing videos as a child, was homeschooled while auditioning and signed with Hollywood Records before her breakthrough as Maya Hart on Disney Channel's Girl Meets World. She balanced acting with a seven-album recording career: four early Hollywood Records albums established her as a working teen artist, while a move to Island Records gave her more room to sharpen the conversational, self-aware writing of Emails I Can't Send. Opening selected Eras Tour dates expanded her live audience before "Espresso," "Please Please Please" and Short n' Sweet turned that steady build into a global breakthrough; the album earned her first two Grammys. Carpenter followed it with Man's Best Friend in 2025, extending the mix of classic-pop craft, comic timing and close involvement in songwriting and visual presentation. Her screen work spans Adventures in Babysitting, The Hate U Give, Tall Girl, Work It and Emergency, and she returned to television as a special guest star in Disney's 2026 Muppet Show event. In 2026 she also performed at the Grammys and continued the Man's Best Friend campaign with the official "House Tour" video.
